FAQ

On the day of your first visit, you'll receive a text with the office address and directions to help you find it (the address is also available online).
Once you arrive, you'll complete an intake form, and you and your therapist, Amy, will review your health history together. You’ll discuss your experience with massage and bodywork, as well as your goals for your sessions. This is a great opportunity for you to ask questions or share anything that could enhance your care.
-
Nope! Gratuity is included in the cost of your session. However, if you feel inspired to share extra abundance, tips are graciously accepted but NEVER expected.
-
During table massage, you may undress to your comfort level. Clothing acts as a boundary, and your therapist will never reach under any clothing you choose to keep on. You will be properly draped with a sheet and blanket at all times, and the therapist will only uncover the area being worked on during the massage. Jewelry such as necklaces and bracelets should be removed if possible.
During thai yoga massage, you will remain fully clothed. Long pants such as leggings, joggers, or sweatpants are recommended. If you tend to get cold easily, consider wearing a long sleeve shirt or bringing an extra layer for added comfort. -
Falling asleep during a massage is completely normal and happens frequently! If that occurs, your therapist will continue working and will gently wake you if needed.
If you know you tend to doze off but prefer to stay awake, just let your therapist know, and they will make sure to keep you engaged. Your comfort and experience are our top priorities!
-
This is your space + time, so you can talk to your massage therapist as much or as little as you’d like.
Some people find it easier to relax with ongoing conversation, while others prefer a completely silent experience. Your therapist will follow your lead when it comes to conversation.
Please feel free to communicate your needs and preferences, such as pressure, table temperature, and music volume, during your session.

The frequency of bodywork varies from person to person, but a general guideline is once a month to maintain the benefits of massage. However, you might choose a different schedule based on your individual needs and goals:
Once a week: Ideal for those dealing with acute or chronic pain, as more frequent sessions can help manage symptoms and promote healing.
Once per month: A great option for maintenance, helping to reduce stress and keep your body in balance.
Every other month: A practical choice for those who want to establish a routine while honoring their budget.
Once a quarter: Perfect for a seasonal reset, allowing you to check in with your body and refresh your energy.
1-2 times a year: A wonderful way to celebrate special occasions or milestones, treating yourself to the care you deserve.
Ultimately, it's about finding what feels best for you and supporting your wellness journey! -
Each person is different and experiences a variety of benefits from massage therapy.
Commonly, most people are extremely relaxed after a massage. It is normal to feel an increase in energy after your initial period of feeling extremely relaxed.
Depending on your reason for receiving massage therapy, some people are relieved of muscle aches and pains, reduced muscle tension and increased range of motion, which may last for days.
You may also feel lighter, stand taller, have more energy and/or feel more productive. These results can last for several days.

No worries! If you need to reschedule, you can easily do so online or by texting Amy at 614-506-3807.
To avoid a cancellation fee, please make sure to reschedule at least 3 hours before your appointment time.
Please note that if you need to reschedule your appointment three times in a row, Magic Hour Wellness will need to pause future bookings. This policy helps us maintain a consistent schedule for all our clients and ensure everyone receives the care they deserve. -
To ensure a smooth experience for all clients, we require a 3-hour notification for any cancellations or rescheduling. If you cancel or reschedule within this timeframe, you will avoid a cancellation fee. Cancellations within 3 hours of your scheduled appointment time will incur a charge for the full service amount plus sales tax.
Missed appointments without prior notification will incur a charge for the full service amount plus sales tax. We understand that life can be unpredictable, but this policy helps us maintain the integrity of our services and support other clients who may be waiting for appointments.
If you arrive late for your service, we may need to shorten the length of your treatment to respect the schedule of clients following you. Your time is valuable, and we want to ensure you receive the best possible care during your session.
